My blogging got its start with boutiques. Way back in 2012 I partnered with local area boutiques to style fashion columns for my city’s newspaper, and in the past few months, the blog has refocused on supporting boutiques and independent labels as opposed to more “mainstream” retailers.
This blog post is in partnership with POSH Style LLC, product from them is gifted. Items listed from the Style Collective widget are not sponsored, but I do receive a small monetary amount every time an item is clicked on.
Of course I am forever indebted to those local boutiques for my beginning so to say, but today’s blog post is very, very special.
Because it features our first partnership with an out-of-state boutique!
Like many boutiques today, POSH Style has an online website you can shop from, but their brick and mortar is in Tulsa, Oklahoma! If you follow me on Instagram you saw a sneak peek yesterday, but I’m so so excited to share these images with you wearing the goodies I received from Melissa, the owner!
Posh itself has been around since 2011 and while their boutique is a sort of second home for their regular customers, the online domain has become an extension of not only the brick and mortar location, but as a platform to share their love of cooking and writing in their own blog as well! Owners Melissa and Susan are able to easily incorporate two of their passions on one platform and it works beautifully, all while being complimented by cute clothes of course!
For this blog post I headed Downtown to shoot among the mix of textures and backgrounds, I felt it suited the outfit well because it could also be worn a multitude of ways! Cute and casual like shot today, comfy casual with your favorite pair of shorts and ankle boots, dressed up with a pair of high-waist skinnies and heels. The options are endless! The top has the cutest embroidery detail and is super soft, the jeans too. I had previously never worn the Dear John brand, but love the comfort and ease of them! I’m wearing the Embroidered Collar Button-Up in Taupe, and the Dear John Elle Skinny.
I want to send a huge thank you to Melissa for the adorable pieces, you guys will defiantly see these again!
